Several months ago a friend asked me to create a magazine with him revolving around his pop persona "Candy". I would design it, he would provide all of the content, and another friend would copy edit the entire thing, so of course I said yes. This edgy magazine has a brutalist feel, with bold colors, clean design, and a serious yet playful voice. The images are the superstars of this piece, so the design choices are meant to elevate them.

This is the largest piece I have completely designed myself coming in at 44-pages, and I have really loved this process. Having a passion project is so fulfilling and lets me play in a way that you can't always do within your work. I am proud of this piece, and am happy y'all can see it.
